Who can join Phi Alpha Delta?
Phi Alpha Delta is open to all undergraduate students at UC San Diego with an interest in law or the legal profession. You do not need to be a pre-law major or have prior experience—just a genuine interest in learning and getting involved!​

Do I need to be a pre-law major?
We welcome students of all majors who have an interest in law or are curious about exploring the legal field. Whether you’re studying political science, economics, engineering, or the arts, our chapter provides opportunities to learn, grow, and prepare for a potential legal career. Many of our members come from diverse academic backgrounds, bringing unique perspectives and skills that enrich our community.

Are there any membership dues? What do they cover?​
Yes, there are membership dues to help cover the cost of chapter activities and national registration. Dues include access to all workshops, networking events, mentorship programs, and Phi Alpha Delta national resources. Specific amounts and payment methods will be shared during the recruitment period.

Do I need to commit a lot of time to participate?
​We understand students have busy schedules. While we encourage active participation to make the most of your membership, our events and workshops are designed to be flexible and accommodate your academic commitments. We highly encourage members to attend events because the more you put in, the more you get out! By actively participating, you’ll gain valuable experiences, build meaningful connections, and make the most of everything Phi Alpha Delta has to offer.
